There is an easy way for you to support the growth of the game you love: volunteer! Here you will find information on giving back: how to become a volunteer, what you can do, and volunteer openings in the Idaho District.
You can always volunteer through your local Community Tennis Association (CTA) or by serving on a committee, helping at a tournament, coaching new players, assisting with special events, and much more. UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
League Tennis Site Director
Description: This position is responsible for assigning courts for matches, issuing balls, hanging banners, recording and reporting scores at district championship events. Picking up or delivering the day’s supplies may be necessary.
Qualifications: Anyone can become a site director. Training sessions may be available prior to event.
Location/Time Period: Locations are local clubs, schools and parks. Shifts are a five hour commitment.

Description: Assist with various office activities.
Duties: Mass mailing preparation including labeling, stuffing, and sealing envelopes; phone calls for reminders and to gather contact information; data entry of player contact information; grant writing; cleaning.

Tennis 101 Instructor
Description: Tennis 101 instructors will help with feeding balls, running drills, and giving basic feedback to the program participants. Most importantly, they will make sure all participants are engaged and having fun. This is an opportunity for hands-on involvement with budding tennis players.
Qualifications: Basic tennis skills are a must; previous tennis instructing experience is preferred, but not required. Scheduling is flexible. Idaho Tennis Association will conduct instructor trainings for all Tennis 101 instructors.
Pay: Tennis 101 instructors will be compensated $20 for their hour and a half of time.
Location/Time period: Public parks at various locations throughout Idaho. Tennis 101 runs on Saturday mornings from June through September.

Description: Tennis 101 site directors will house and pick up the Tennis 101 equipment from IdTA, make sure all instructors are present, set up/take down Tennis 101 courts, get all Tennis 101 participants checked in, and make sure all participants are engaged and having fun. They will also act as an instructor for that day and help with feeding balls, running drills, and giving basic feedback to the participants.
Qualifications: Basic tennis skills are a must; previous tennis instructing experience is preferred, but not required. Idaho Tennis Association will conduct instructor/site director trainings for all Tennis 101 instructors.
Pay: Tennis 101 site directors will be compensated $25 for their two hours of time.
Location/Time Period: Public parks at various locations throughout Idaho. Tennis 101 runs on Saturday mornings from June through September.

Tennis is Elementary Site Director
Description: Help organize drills, feed balls, and teach the basics of tennis to elementary school students.
Qualifications: Basic tennis skills are a must; previous tennis instructing experience is preferred, but not required. You must attend a training session before being assigned to a school.
Pay: $10 per session (one hour)
Location/Time Period: You will be assigned a school in your area. TiE runs twice a week after school.

Description: Responsible for housing and setting up equipment, act as team leader of instructors, and feed balls and run games for elementary school students.
Qualifications: Basic tennis skills are a must; previous tennis instructing experience is preferred, but not required. You must attend a training session before being assigned a school.
Pay: $15 per session (one hour)
Location/Time Period: You will be assigned a school in your area. TiE runs twice a week after school.
